ARERR [2833] Error importing some objects.

During an import operation from source control, some of the objects were not imported because the server name alias could not be resolved to show the server name. The operation was only partially successful.
You also see this error message if you import server objects from a .def file and a server name alias exists that cannot be resolved in either of the following places:

  • Server Name Alias field in the Platform tab in the AR System Administration: Server Information form
  • Server-Name entry in the ar.cfg/ar.conf file.

To continue, verify that you have access to the objects in the source control database, for example, by trying to access them in the source control client. If you are successful, log back in to BMC Remedy Administrator, and retry the import operation.
If you are using a server name alias, verify that it is valid.
